President Biden signs Ukraine funding bill. The United Stated will provide nearly $40 billion, or £32 billion, in aid for Ukraine, according to a statement from the White House. The news comes after the US senate approved Biden’s massive new military and humanitarian aid bill for Ukraine, on Thursday. The final vote was 86 in favor, 11 against. Biden is presently in Seoul for his first summit with new South Korean president, Yoon Suk-yeol.1h ago
Portugal’s prime minister, António Costa, arrived in Kyiv this morning, in response to a request from his “Ukrainian counterpart”. Costa, who has served as prime minister since 2015, said: It is with emotion and respect that I come here, as a sign of solidarity with this country and this people, in the face of the barbaric Russian aggression.
